“It sounds like it’s trying, but never comes on.”

• A component has failed somewhere in the Heating System. (Oftentimes parts from local supply houses can be easily replaced by a licensed contractor.)
• Check to see if the gas valve is turned off to the house or furnace.

“It runs for a while but does not reach the temperature on my thermostat.”

• Your thermostat may not be reading the correct temperature and needs to be replaced.
• The Heating System may be turning off and back on repeatedly due to a faulty component or communication from the Control Board.

“It seems like it’s on because the air is blowing, but the air coming out is not warm.”

• When limit switches, rollout switches, and pressure switches fail, the blower will sometimes stay on without the flame to alert that there is a problem. Newer systems have codes that show from the LED lights on the Control Board.
